Music, AI-Created Content, and Industrial/Cultural Effects

This theme explores advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques for composition, performance, and broadcasting. It will emphasise how legibility, agency and negotiability can be used to address the tension between human creativity on the one hand, and system autonomy on the other.

It will be especially interesting for:

  • Creators and others in the cultural sector,
  • leading people from industry,
  • those involved in cutting edge research in this area.

There will be opportunities to share knowledge on computational creativity applied to composition, machine learning in musical performance, and content analysis for remixing and analysing listening habits.

There will be a workshop on this later this year (Autumn. 2019) and a Call for Projects after it.
